Overview

A cohort of 80 girls would be recruited every year from marginalised communities and undergo 2 day training sessions (life skill and cricket sessions) every week. Each day will be split into a life skill session (morning) and a corresponding cricket training (afternoon), and every week, participants are given a practical home challenge on the week’s skill of focus. Every end month, the programme would host community days where non-participants are invited to learn from the peers (ACA participants) what life skill they learnt that month (share the knowledge with other peers). Also some community days will also host parents to share with them what their children are learning in order to provide a safe space for the participant outside the programme. Some talented girls will be selected for the high performance cricket training (PTY) where they will participate in different tournaments. The girls will also get scholastic material support to encourage them to continue studying.
